12 Vintage Gold Wash Portuguese 833 Silver Coffee Spoons Sugar Shovel

Description

Presented is an attractive set of 12 Portuguese silver coffee or tea spoons and a sugar shell or shovel made during the mid 20th century. There are 13 pieces in total. Each handle in this set is beautifully cased with shell, scroll and bell flower decorations over a stippled background. All of the bowls have a fine gold wash.
Each piece is marked with the Portuguese .833 purity silver finesse mark as well as maker’s mark. The maker's mark appears to be a single letter with a comb next to it.
This set is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each spoon measures 5 1/4 inches and the sugar shovel measures 5 inches long. The combined weight of the set is 180.4 grams or 6.3 ounces.
