WW2 time Authentic Buckle for MILITIA ( police ) Officer BELT
with CCCP (USSR) Coat of Arms 16 Republics!
Belts with buckles of this type were worn by the Soviet Militia Officers in late 40's and 50's.
Made in USSR
of nickel plated brass. Good condition, there are some tiny scratches – see photo for all details. Dimensions 3" x 2 1/4" (7.2 x 5.5 cm).
The serious collector knows that the Soviet Union was consisting of 16 republics (including Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic) during a short period of time from 1946 to 1956 (before 1946 there were 11 republics, after 1956 - 15 Republics).
