    Description

    GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE ITEM OF FINEST QUALITY.
    Made by an important Hungarian goldsmith and silversmith Hibijan Samu. Most definitely designed by Robert Nadler (1858 - 1938), with whom Samu was known to collaborate in 1890's. Signed and dated on the base by silversmith: "Hibijan S. 1896".

    Important Hungarian silversmith and goldsmith.
    Worked in Vienna, Salzburg, Pforzheim, Munich, Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris and became acquainted with enameling techniques. Professor in the Budapest Decorative Arts School from 1895. Created many beautiful and thoughtful jewelry pieces and French-style Art Nouveau pieces: Kossuth Cup (1903); Pázmány memorial service (1905); Francis József (Coronation Bronze Relief, 1913).
