I am offering for sale this
original medal from Soviet era which was awarded over to  people - to liquidators of consequences
of tragedy on the Chernobyl
Nuclear
power station, in Ukraine. LIQUIDATORS were Soviet soldiers and officers,
policemen and many civilians who participated in the first days of clarification of this disaster.
There were 28 of them - Chernobyl firefighters, the first to come to grips with the atomic element, who assumed the heat of the flame and the deadly breathing of the reactor: Vladimir Pravik, Victor Kibenok, Leonid Telyatnikov, Nikolai Vashchuk, Vasily Ignatenko, Vladimir Tishura, Nikolay Titenok, Boris Alishaev, Ivan Butrimenko, Mikhail Golovnenko, Anatoly Khakharov, Stepan Komar, Andrei Korol, Mikhail Krysko, Victor Leun, Sergei Leun, Anatoly Najdyuk, Nikolai Nechiporenko, Vladimir Palachega, Alexander Petrovsky, Peter Pivovarov, Andrei Polovinkin, Vladimir Alexandrovich Prischep a, Vladimir Ivanovich Prishchepa, Nikolay Rudenyuk, Grigory Khmel, Ivan Shavrey, Leonid Shavrey. Six of them died from acute radiation sickness. At the cost of their lives, the heroes took the trouble, saved thousands of human lives.
In total, 69 fire brigade employees and 19 pieces of equipment participated in the elimination of the fire at the Chernobyl NPP.
