USSR SOVIET ARMY EXCELLENT SOLDIER BADGE 1950'S EARLY S/B VERSION TUCSON ESTATE

Description

From the Tucson estate of a collector is this absolutely original 1950's USSR Soviet Army badge for an excellent soldier - the less common early type with screw back fitting and Pobeda Moscow factory wheel nut. The badge also has a diagnostic and proper unpainted border surrounding the red name - the enamel work itself well accomplished as befitting its era of crafting. Condition is quite  fine with an aura of time and proud wearing to the surfaces - while actually won and worn, the recipient obviously took care of his award. There is a good amount of the fire gilt finish remaining, some in protected places on the front and lots on the reverse . The enamel is all intact with just typical and expected micro contact marks from wearing - here serving as good evidence it was worn about while serving the motherland. There are no cracks or chips or any losses. The screw post is unaltered and straight, and the domed wheel nut works as it should. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition - a very charismatic example. Size is about 1 9/16 in. vertical and 1 3/16 in. horizontal. I don't know what else need be said, so there you are.
