    Description

    Excellent Philippine Liberation medal.
This medal was established in 1944 as a ribbon and issued to allied military that participated in the liberation of the Philippines between October 17, 1944 and September 2, 1945. The medal was established in 1945.
This is a heavy medal, nothing like you would see made in the US. I do not know where it was made or how old it is.
Due to it's weight, I assumed it was theater made but that was just my assumption when I bought it.
The pin looks like a US military ribbon bar backing.
There is no damage to medal.
I have owned this medal for over 20 years.
    Non-smoking home.
Will combine shipping of military items.
I have been collecting military items (mostly US medals) for over 20 years and have decided to thin it out. Feel free to put me on your watch list and see what I list over the next few months. Some weeks may be a little mundane but some should be interesting. Good luck.
